Beatriz Lemos works as curator and researcher specialized in network articulations. Creator of the research platform Lastro - intercambios libres en arte. Licensed in Art History and Master in Social History of Culture (PUC-RJ). In collaboration with the MAM RJ, she coordinated the project of cataloging the documents and the work of Márcia X (1959-2005), which culminated in 2013 in the artist's monographic exhibition and the launching of the Raisonné catalog. Between 2015 and 2016, she joined the Curador Visitante de La Escuela de Artes Visuales del Parque Lage (RJ), which was developed for the Biblioteca y Centro de Documentación e Investigación. In 2015, as a commemoration of the ten years of Lastro, she made a research trip with 15 artists and curators, between Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico, resulting in an exhibition at the Sesc Consolação (SP). In 2017 she joined the curatorial jury of the 20th Contemporary Art Festival - Sesc / Videobrasil, in addition to the realization of the Lastro autonomous residence in Bolivia with 10 Brazilian artists and which had its version on display at the Sesc Bom Retiro (SP), from January to May 2018. Currently, she has conducted courses and workshops on anticolonial processes in Brazil and Latin America and coordinates Grupo de Estudios Lastro, weekly in Casa 1 (SP). Currently, she is part of the curatorial team of the upcoming Trienal Frestas, to be held in 2020 in Sesc Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
